iffmGIS besides supporting management of fixed assets, allows one to manage movable items. It is very useful by the system application in hospitals, office buildings or industrial sites that iffmGIS may localise inventories and track changes of their location. Objects are associated with their digitised documentation (e.g. ‘equipment passports’) and data on the events related to their preventive maintenance and repair. Data on malfunction ‘tickets’ and processes related to ordering of repair, continuously build historical data base useful for the assessment of maintenance cost of a given piece of equipment and need/justification of its replacement .
